Then add or change the key:

Wanna Move Your Start Button.
How to move or close the start button!
1. Click on the Start button.
2. Press the Esc key.
3. Press the Alt and the - or dash keys at the same time.
4. This will give you a menu, you can move or close.
5. But if you move it you need to use the arrow keys and not the mouse.
6. When you get it where you want it, push the Enter button.

Renaming the Recycle Bin
Ever wanted to rename your recycle bin? Who wouldn't?
Well, it's pretty simple, the bare bones of it are just typing in commands to the registry.
Ok, what you do is, copy this information (in bold) to notepad or something similar. (Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->Notepad).

Now you can freely rename your recycle bin whenever you want!

(2)Cool DOS Commands
Command #1: By typing in 'tree' into Dos, you can view all of the folders (not files) on the computer or User. Pretty cool but then again pretty worthless. Just a cool thing to know.


Command #2: By typing in 'ipconfig' you can view your default gateway ip adress for your router. This is really only useful if you are good with the computer and are trying to fix your internet connection, you can look at what's wrong.


Command #3: By typing in 'format c:' you can delete all the information on your hard drive, if you want to start new or something, but dont do that just to be an idiot.


Command #4: By typing in 'netstat' or 'nbtstat' (both similar) you can view the TCP/IP network of your computer.


Command #5: By typing in 'title whatever' the blue bar at the top where it is command prompt will be replaced with whatever you typed after title.

Now this is specially for the ones who are too lazy to get up even when the trust cellphone dies screeching its lungs out.
Its pretty simple

Creating the playlist
create a playlist of your favourite songs in Winamp, WMP or any other player. Export the playlist as a M3U playlist. M3U is generally accepted by almost every player.

Triggering the alarm
point to start> programs >accessories > system tools >scheduled tasks
Create a new task and choose program as windows media player or winamp (May work with others too but I haven't tried anything else)
Choose "daily", Enter the time and choose "every day" at next screen.
It would now ask for password (leave blank in case you don't have one)
Right click on the newly created task and check the "run only if logged in" check box. In the properties. Append the path to the playlist you created in the "run" text box. "D:\windows media player\wmplayer.exe" K:\Playlists\smoothies.m3u
It should now look like the text inside quotes is my WMP's path. It may vary for you. The text after WMP's path is the one to the playlist.
Click OK and you're done.

Go sleep!

Beware : Make sure that the file you are Deleting is not a System File.

1. Open a Command Prompt window and leave it open.
2. Close all open programs.
3. Click Start, Run and enter TASKMGR.EXE
4. Go to the Processes tab and End Process on Explorer.exe.
5. Leave Task Manager open.
6. Go back to the Command Prompt window and change to the directory the AVI (or other undeletable
file) is located in.
7. At the command prompt type DEL where is the file you wish to delete.
8. Go back to Task Manager, click File, New Task and enter EXPLORER.EXE to restart the GUI shell.
9. Close Task Manager.

1. Open Notepad.exe
2. Click File>Save As..>
3. Locate the folder where your undeletable file is
4. Choose ‘All files’ from the file type box
5. Click once on the file u wanna delete so its name appears in the ‘filename’ box
6. Put a ” at the start and end of the filename
(the filename should have the extension of the undeletable file so it will overwrite it)
7. Click save,
8. It should ask u to overwrite the existing file, choose yes and u can delete it as normal

Here’s a manual way of doing it. I’ll take this off once you put into your first post zain.

1. Start Run Type: command
2. To move into a directory type: cd c:\*** (The stars stand for your folder)
3. If you cannot access the folder because it has spaces for example Program Files or Kazaa Lite folder you have to do the following. instead of typing in the full folder name only take the first 6 letters then put a ~ and then 1 without spaces. Example: cd c:\progra~1\kazaal~1
4. Once your in the folder the non-deletable file it in type in dir - a list will come up with everything inside.
5. Now to delete the file type in del ***.bmp, txt, jpg, avi, etc… And if the file name has spaces you would use the special 1st 6 letters followed by a ~ and a 1 rule. Example: if your file name was bad file.bmp you would type once in the specific folder thorugh command, del badfil~1.bmp and your file should be gone. Make sure to type in the correct extension.

So create a new text file on ur desktop and call it .. uhm.. "RAMcleaner" or something...

in this file and save it as RAMcleaner.vbs [ You may choose the "All Files" option when u save it ]

Run the file and ur RAM may be cleaned :>
Of course u can edit the code in the file for a greater "cleaning-progress".

1 ) Minesweeper
Secret - Reveal Mines
Instructions - Minimize or close all running applications. Launch Minesweeper, then type xyzzy. Next hold down either shift key for one second. Now when you move the mouse cursor over a Minesweeper square you will see a tiny white pixel in the top left corner of your desktop screen. This pixel will change to black when your mouse moves over a mine. You may need to change you desktop background to a solid color other then white or black to see the pixel.

Secret - Draw single cards in a Draw Three game
Instructions - Hold down CTRL + ALT + SHIFT while drawing a new card. Instead of drawing three cards you will only draw one.
Infinite Points
In the Windows XP version of solitaire, draw from the deck at least twice. Hold control and drag a card down from the deck. Click the “A” key and then let go of the left mouse key. You will get 10 points for this. Continue doing this for infinite points!
5)FreeCell
Secret - Instant WinInstructions - Hold down Ctrl + Shift + F10 during game play. Then you will be asked if you want to Abort, Retry or Ignore. Choose Abort, then move any card to instantly win.
Secret - Hidden Game ModesInstructions - In the “Game” menu choose “Select Game”. Enter -1 or -2 to activate the hidden game

* First start a movie in any player.

* Then open Paint.

* Now, in the player when the movie is being played, press "Print screen" button on your key board.

Hide Your Files In A JPEG

Well, did you know you could hide your files in a JPEG file? For this, you will only need to download WinRAR. You just need to have a little knowledge about Command Prompt and have WinRAR installed.

Ok, lets begin…

1. Gather all the files that you wish to hide in a folder anywhere in your PC (make it in C:\hidden - RECOMMENDED).
2. Now, add those files in a RAR archive (e.g. secret.rar). This file should also be in the same directory (C:\hidden).
3. Now, look for a simple JPEG picture file (e.g. logo.jpg). Copy/Paste that file also in C:\hidden.
4. Now, open Command Prompt (Go to Run and type ‘cmd‘). Make your working directory C:\hidden.
5. Now type: “COPY /b logo.jpg + secret.rar output.jpg” (without quotes) - Now, logo.jpg is the picture you want to show, secret.rar is the file to be hidden, and output.jpg is the file which contains both. :D
6. Now, after you have done this, you will see a file output.jpg in C:\hidden. Open it (double-click) and it will show the picture you wanted to show. Now try opening the same file with WinRAR, it will show the hidden archive .

Done!

go onto ur desktop
Right click->Create a new folder->Rename it as:

ALT + 0160 (i.e. pressing the ALT key type 0160 from ur numpad...mindwell making things clear only numpad... nothing else)

u shall also make it as an invisible folder guess how??

* And simply hit 'Enter' !

* You will see that the text changes to a table. Here, the number '=' represent the number of characters in each cell !

* Just it makes your work easy and fast !

To create a shutdown shortcut on the desktop
Windows XP has a program called SHUTDOWN.EXE which allows you to easily create icons to shutdown or restart your computer.

To create a shutdown shortcut on the desktop:
Right click on an open area of the desktop
Select New ---> Shortcut
Enter "shutdown -s -t 00" - (no quotes)
Press the Next button
For the name, enter anything you like. Click the Finish button.
For a reboot, enter "shutdown -r -t 00"

Parameters:

-l - Logs off the current user, this is also the defualt. -m ComputerName takes precedence.

-s - Shuts down the local computer.

-r - Reboots after shutdown.

-a - Aborts shutdown. Ignores other parameters, except -l and Computer Name. You can only use -a during the time-out period.

-f - Forces running applications to close.

-m [\ComputerName] - Specifies the computer that you want to shut down.

-t xx - Sets the timer for system shutdown in xx seconds. The default is 20 seconds.

-c "message" - Specifies a message to be displayed in the Message area of the
System Shutdown window. You can use a maximum of 127 characters. You must enclose the message in quotation marks.

Many a times we require a FOLDER too often, like to store our Multimedia files and all !!!

No no need to access the folder and carry out the traditional COPY & PASTE !!!

Just add it too "SEND TO" !!!

Do as follows :

** Open any FOLDER.

** Then, TOOLS >> Folder Options

** Click view TAB.

** In LIST of Advance Settings, click Show hidden files and folders !

** Now, go to C:\Documents and Settings

** Here, double click and open your (username) folder !

** Now, open SendTo folder.

** Here copy and paste the shortcut of your favorite folder.

That's Done !!!

Now, tranfer files to your favorite folder :

** Right Click the file
** Then, Send To
** Click the folder name !

If you would like to see a new name for Internet Explorer in its title bar, here's how:
Go to: Start >> Run

Type in: REGEDIT

Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

Single click on "Main" to view its contents in the right pane. Scroll down and check to see if an entry "Window Title" exists. If it does not exist, then go up to Edit >> New>> String Value.

Right click on your new String Value entry and select "Modify" in the resulting menu.
In the "Value data" text box, type in whatever you would like the title bar to read, select OK when done. I have mine named "5 Star Support Explorer".
If you have done this correctly, the next time you open up Internet Explorer, you should see your new name at the title bar.

Note: Be sure to back up your registry prior to making any changes.

This trick will lock ur desktop

TRICK 1: First create a new shortcut on your desktop using a right mouse click
and enter 'rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation' in the location field. Name the shortcut what ever u want to like abc. Then just double click on it and your computer will be instantly locked

TRICK 2: The Windows key + L also does the same thing
AND THEN TO UNLOCK CLICK ON UR ACCOUNT NAME.....


SPEED UP UR "RAM"PLAY BETTER GAME.....

1. To speed up your windows or to increase RAM virtually,
Right click on My Computer
>> Properties
>> Advanced
>> Performance - Settings
>> Advanced
>> Virtual Memory - Change
Keep the initial size same as recommended and maximum size double of it then restart your system.
It will improve speed of windows and you can play some games which require higher RAM.
